The winter is a challenging time for the MLS Fantasy Football addict. The heady days of March to October have passed and the nine months of the Major League Soccer Fantasy (MLSFantasy), analysis, statistics, tables, fixtures, planning and transfers are over. Almost a year of battling for a mini-league, to grab a high rank or, for the select few, to win a Fantasy Football competition, have turned to dust in a second. The final whistle was blown on an autumn's Sunday afternoon in mid-October and, as Major League teams across the country collectively exhaled, so did us Fantasy managers.

Why I got into MLS Fantasy

It's an autumn day and I was just sitting on my computer looking for something to do, while searching for jobs and what not? It was the middle of the Irish recession and I was purely concentrating on my Fantasy team for the Premier League fantasy game. It wasn't doing it for me though, I was looking for something new. Then, I started talking to the likes of Potty and Pathetico Morbid. They were playing this new Fantasy game called MLS Fantasy, I had never heard of it before, or most of the players for that matter.

Why I am a Houston Dynamo fan?

My first ever memory of watching Houston Dynamo play came when I was randomly browsing the TV channels for something to watch when I came across an MLS game on ESPN, (bearing in mind I would literally watch any soccer game as I’m so in love and engaged with the game). I’m pretty sure Houston Dynamo were playing Colorado Rapids or San Jose Earthquakes, I’m not 100% as it was about 8/9 years ago. This is my review of the New York Red Bulls 2019 season, well it's more of a ramble if I'm honest, because it's been a strange season really. So here are my thoughts, and I'll keep it short.

My MLS Fantasy Season Review

My name is Aaron and I hail from Ireland. I am a Fantasy Football fanatic who has played the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) for the past 10 or so years, starting pretty much a little over a third of the way through the Premier League campaign. I played that solely up until the 2011 or the 2012 season of Major League Soccer came out, if you actually want to know when it was from, it was from the season Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle were playing in it.
