This thought came to my mind recently of why exactly I support Los Angeles FC. The reason why I support Los Angeles FC, hereby known as the abbreviation LAFC is because, I wanted to be part of an MLS franchise from day one and also, the sleek nature of LA and the black and gold of their colours, spoke to me.
Also, I watched this video below:
So, I decided to setup a tweet and ask the wider Twitter MLS Community why they are fans of both the Major League Soccer as a whole and their respective teams. Here are their responses.
As someone who likes to play Fantasy games where each individual player is scored differently based on their own performance (using Opta stats) I do find the Bonus Point System (BPS) which is used to allocate bonus points disappointing in the Major League Soccer Fantasy (MLS Fantasy) game. Let me explain…
Hello all. With the season ending and us Fantasy Football managers having little to talk about over the next two months, I’d like to take the opportunity to the announce the start of a winter of quizzing.
For the months ahead of the launch of the next season I’ll be hosting my first pre-season quiz competition.
The winter is a challenging time for the MLS Fantasy Football addict. The heady days of March to October have passed and the nine months of the Major League Soccer Fantasy (MLSFantasy), analysis, statistics, tables, fixtures, planning and transfers are over. Almost a year of battling for a mini-league, to grab a high rank or, for the select few, to win a Fantasy Football competition, have turned to dust in a second. The final whistle was blown on an autumn's Sunday afternoon in mid-October and, as Major League teams across the country collectively exhaled, so did us Fantasy managers.
As another frantic Fantasy season draws to a close, our eyes are already looking beyond the cup finals and towards the prospect of doing it all again in the 2020 season.
Minnesota United completed the first major signing of the close season, acquiring Michael Boxall on a three year contract from the upcoming 2020 campaign.
Having signed a long-term contract with the Loons, the New Zealand international reckons that his style of play will only help Minnesota United for 2020 and help them reach the MLS Cup playoffs again:
Imagine, if you will, a world of legwarmers, neon spandex, and hi-top fades. The year is 1983, and New Order’s ‘Blue Monday’ is the must-have soundtrack for your summer.
As a discerning fantasy stathead, however, you have time to savour only one thing: the annual release of Bill James’ Baseball Abstract.
It's an autumn day and I was just sitting on my computer looking for something to do, while searching for jobs and what not? It was the middle of the Irish recession and I was purely concentrating on my Fantasy team for the Premier League fantasy game. It wasn't doing it for me though, I was looking for something new. Then, I started talking to the likes of Potty and Pathetico Morbid. They were playing this new Fantasy game called MLS Fantasy, I had never heard of it before, or most of the players for that matter.
My first ever memory of watching Houston Dynamo play came when I was randomly browsing the TV channels for something to watch when I came across an MLS game on ESPN, (bearing in mind I would literally watch any soccer game as I’m so in love and engaged with the game). I’m pretty sure Houston Dynamo were playing Colorado Rapids or San Jose Earthquakes, I’m not 100% as it was about 8/9 years ago. After that, as all top soccer fans know, the next best thing to playing the game or going to watch is playing FIFA on the PlayStation.
This is my review of the New York Red Bulls 2019 season, well it's more of a ramble if I'm honest, because it's been a strange season really. So here are my thoughts, and I'll keep it short.
More than any other team in the MLS, I think New York Red Bull fans have had the toughest time over the 2019 season. I know FC Cincinnati might argue that, but nothing was really expected of them.
We have new podcast partners for next season and beyond hopefully. This morning, we put out the tweet that we were looking for podcast partners for the next season of Major League Soccer (MLS) and beyond.
My name is Aaron and I hail from Ireland. I am a Fantasy Football fanatic who has played the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) for the past 10 or so years, starting pretty much a little over a third of the way through the Premier League campaign. I played that solely up until the 2011 or the 2012 season of Major League Soccer came out, if you actually want to know when it was from, it was from the season Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle were playing in it.
To help with the continued growth of the editorial coverage on Major League Soccer Scout we are looking to expand our team of contributors, which has already seen site regulars FPL Psychologist Gaasaka and FPL Boyse join up this season so far.
